Another lost Lancaster...
Here is an interesting article concerning a lost Lancaster, and the identification of its crew. Below, a couple of photos taken by Joseph.

The first photograph shows the 'classic' view of the Pointe du Hoc looking out to sea. The second photograph is one he took looking out from the 'blockhaus', one of the targets for this Lancaster crew's last mission.

Here is what he said:
"Carentan, where the Lancaster crash remains are reported to have been found, is a little to the SE of Sainte-Mère-Église. The Pointe du Hoc is located between the two American Landing Beaches ('Omaha' and 'Juno')."
