Leading Aircraftwoman Mary Evans died of illness at Blackpool whilst on active service with the WAAF on 12 February 1945. She was laid to rest in her home town of Keswick, Cumberland (now Cumbria) in St John's Chuchyard.

"Sweet memories of Mary, only daughter of Walter & Josephine Evans, who died Feb. 12th 1945".
